Salvati & Tresoldi x Saporiti Italia

In the 1980s, Salvati & Tresoldi not only created some extremely interesting objects for Saporiti Italia, but they also guided the company towards the world of art, particularly with the “Moderno & Moderno” exhibition at the Galleria del Milione and with the very important “Saporiti & Missoni” exhibition at the Rotonda della Besana in Milan.

The “Omaggi” chairs – direct homages and references to the works of artists like Arp, Balla, Fontana, Paladino, Malevich, Warhol – the “Miamina” armchair, a canvas painted with creativity and style, the “Geometric” table, an object studied to be disassembled and hung on the wall like a painting, are the most interesting examples of this research that connects the world of art and design.

The references by Salvati & Tresoldi to the world of art, so important and innovative in the world of design in those years, are still in perfect harmony now with the promotional, cultural and social activities that Saporiti Italia started developing in the early years 2000 and still offers today, through the collaboration and support of museums, cultural and artistic institutions.
